Iconic TV

January 12th, 2010 by melanie

Designer Albert Exergian’s love of posters, modernism and television was the driving force behind his self-initiated project, Iconic TV, a collection of minimally designed posters for TV shows such as The Wire (one of the best shows you’ll ever see, by the way), 30 Rock, Lost, True Blood, etc.

Letterheady

January 12th, 2010 by melanie

Letterheady is a Tumblelog with a collection of notable letterheads. Pictured above is Harry Houdini’s from 1913, but browse through the rest of the collection and you’ll find Einstein’s, the Rolling Stones’, Winston Churchill’s and yes, even Adolf Hitler’s.

What Type Are You?

January 8th, 2010 by melanie

Instead of the predictable holiday greetings, Pentagram’s 2009 holiday card came in the form of an interactive quiz – What Type Are You? After answering four simple questions, I found out I am this type:

Archer Hairline by Hoefler & Frere-Jones. According to the Freudian dude, Archer Hairline is my type because I am “someone who is outwardly composed, but will occasionally run into the bathroom for a quick laugh or quiet cry before emerging to the world outwardly composed again.” I suppose so… In either case, I love Archer. Find out what what type you are. (Password: character)

Happy 2010 – the one week late edition

January 7th, 2010 by melanie

Hey, in my defense, I had a lot of visiting family to keep company over the holidays to properly sit down and blog. But what better way to start 2010 than to admire these charming illustrations by Esther Arrts from the Netherlands.

Mary & Matt

December 30th, 2009 by melanie

Mary & Matt, those crafty people that brought us the Chocolate Pie Chart, have these new chocolate concoctions: the Milk to White Bar (top) and the Neapolitan Bar (bottom). I’m dying to taste the Neapolitan or the Strawberry bar to see if it will bring to mind the goodness of strawberry Pocky or Strawberry Quik. I’m very curious about their Caramel and Tangerine flavors as well.

If you love fun facts and mostly useless information, or planning to be a Jeopardy contestant, then you’d love this website. It’s kinda a digital version of a page-a-day calendar… Neat-o!
