The Y

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

YMCA new logoFirst the Girl Scouts, now the Y(MCA).  I like the idea, but I don’t think it’s 100% there yet.  I like the refreshing colors. Maybe soon we’ll see a redesign of the Goodwill logo, too?

Young and Sassy

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

The Girl Scouts gets a makeover! A fresh update to Saul Bass’ classic logo is the addition of bangs and perkier noses for a more youthful look.  The logotype also got a revamp using my favorite typeface Avenir. I love that the stationary uses so much of that awesome Girl Scout Green.

Once upon a time, I was a girl scout. Didn’t make it past Daisy.

Letterheady is a Tumblelog with a collection of notable letterheads. Pictured above is Harry Houdini’s from 1913, but browse through the rest of the collection and you’ll find Einstein’s, the Rolling Stones’, Winston Churchill’s and yes, even Adolf Hitler’s.
