Alter a magazine cover! Find a magazine cover (a person’s face is a great starting point). Alter the image using pen, pencils, paint, scissors, whatever! Take a photo of your creation! No digital work – get off your computer! This took me 2 minutes, you can will do a better job!

Meet Cooper, the cat photographer. Cat owners, Michael and Deirdre Cross (Seattle-based filmmakers) were curious to see where Cooper goes when they let him out of the house, so they used a cat cam – a lightweight digital camera fastened to his collar that was set to take photos every two minutes. It’s pretty amazing to see the world through the eyes of a cat. These are some of my favorites, but you can see more of his snapshots here and he also made it on TV!
The idea: “This is a two-part project, and the first part is simple: We are going to create a gallery of encouragement! You can use this gallery to encourage a close friend or someone you just happened to pass by on the street. You can encourage a relative who may be ill or the girl who handed you your coffee this morning. You could even use this place to encourage yourself!”
